As the first residents of Lawson Rock, our experience since moving in has been as great as the development was impressive when we were considering our options for our own Caribbean paradise. With two young children, our satisfaction with Lawson Rock results from the spectacular setting, security, reliability of utilities and phone, and ease of daily life.

Many warned us that building in Honduras would be a challenge, but with Lawson Rock's help and a little care, we have had a terrific experience. After looking around, we used Sorrenti Design Associates for our plans, based on the depth of Caribbean and Roatan experience and creativity. We then received advice on potential builders from David Sellon and met with those he recommended plus one we had met. We narrowed the field to 3 local builders, requested modified fixed price bids, and after about 5 weeks after requesting bids and doing follow up, chose Nelson Abbott. Construction started within 2 weeks.

Lawson Rock helped to oversee the building while we continued to live in the states, but we have had so few problems, it may not even have been necessary. Our guesthouse and garage were completed in less than 5 months, allowing us to move in and watch the completion of our main house, which has been a lot of fun. Everything is on schedule. If you choose reputable people for your plans and building, visit once every couple of months to be able to visualize things and choose local materials, Lawson Rock makes building easy and safe.
